WANDERINGS: The theme selected for our 17th edition

The theme Wanderings evokes both physical roaming and mental meandering. It refers to those times when we pass through a space, a thought, or an emotion without a clearly defined destination, guided by instinct, curiosity, or aimlessness. Wandering is not a waste but an opening: it allows for unexpected encounters, the revelation of fragile details, and the discovery of what escapes the everyday gaze.

In this context, seizing and capturing the essence of a moment, a person, or a situationmeans being attentive to the ephemeral: a furtive gesture, a stance, a passing light, a tension or a presence. It involves not just documenting but uncovering a sensory truth – one situated between the visible and the felt.

Then, the image becomes a resonant space in which time seems suspended, in which the ordinary moment is transformed into a meaningful fragment.
