EXHIBITION

Domyaku (The Veins of the Earth)

Ayumi Hayashi, Chiba, Japan | www.instagram.com/ayumi_._hayashi/

Domyaku — the unseen pulse running deep underground.

I live in a rural village rich in nature, where ancient ruins still remain.

The plants, creatures, and landscapes I encounter in daily life.

Gathering these fragments is a way of touching the invisible flow of time.

Death is not the opposite of life, but part of an unbroken cycle.

The memories of those who once lived here seem to continue quietly within the land.

Domyaku.

Land, people, life and time continue to circulate quietly.

This exhibition is presented in collaboration with the FOTOZOFIO festival and with the financial support of the Japan Foundation.
